Automated Approvals
The #1 Question About Autopilot
"I have Autopilot turned ON, but I still see approvals in my dashboard. Is it broken?"
No. Autopilot is working correctly. Here's what's happening:
Valley generates messages in advance so there's always a queue ready to send. When you see pending approvals with Autopilot ON, that's Valley preparing the next batch. Autopilot will automatically handle them before the next sending window. You don't need to do anything.
What if I manually approve them anyway?
Nothing bad happens. The messages will send on their normal schedule. Manual approval doesn't break anything - it's just unnecessary when Autopilot is ON.
If you see pending approvals and Autopilot is ON, do nothing. Valley will handle them automatically. This is normal behavior, not a bug.
How Autopilot Works
Autopilot is a per-campaign setting. When it's ON for a campaign, Valley automatically sends messages after generating them. When it's OFF, every message queues in Approvals for you to manually review.
Autopilot ON (recommended for most users)
Valley generates messages
Valley automatically sends them during your sending window
You focus on responding to interested replies
Autopilot OFF (manual review)
Valley generates messages
Messages queue in Approvals
You manually review and approve each one
Messages send after you approve them
Where to Toggle Autopilot
Autopilot is controlled at the campaign level:
During campaign creation:
When setting up your campaign, you'll see an Autopilot toggle
Turn it ON or OFF based on your preference
Continue with campaign setup
After campaign launch:
Open the campaign
Go to campaign settings
Toggle Autopilot ON or OFF
Save
Because Autopilot is per-campaign, you can run some campaigns on Autopilot and others on manual review. For example, you might manually review a brand new campaign while letting your established warm list campaigns run on Autopilot.
Message Limits
Daily message limits are set at the campaign level during campaign creation. You can edit them afterward in campaign settings.
Valley respects LinkedIn's monthly limits automatically:
Connection requests: ~500/month
InMails (standard): ~100/month
InMails (Sales Nav Advanced): 500-800/month
Closed profile messages: ~50/month
Your per-campaign daily limits control how many messages Valley generates and sends per day for that specific campaign. Valley will never exceed LinkedIn's monthly caps regardless of your campaign settings.
When to Use Manual Review
Autopilot is right for most users, but consider manual review in these situations:
First 1-2 days of a new campaign: Review the messages Valley generates to confirm quality, then flip Autopilot ON.
New writing style: If you just changed your writing style significantly, review a batch before going hands-free.
High-stakes prospect lists: If every message matters (e.g., C-suite at your top 20 target accounts), review manually for that specific campaign.
Most users start with manual review for a day or two, review 10-15 messages, confirm quality, then turn Autopilot ON permanently. You can make this switch in seconds with zero disruption.
What Happens When You Switch
Switching from Autopilot to Manual: Any messages already approved stay in the queue. New messages going forward require your manual review. Nothing is lost.
Switching from Manual to Autopilot: Any pending messages in Approvals get auto-approved in the next sending cycle. Nothing is lost. You simply stop reviewing and let Autopilot take over.
You can toggle back and forth without losing your message queue or breaking anything.
Common Scenarios
I see approvals piling up and Autopilot is OFF: Either approve them now (takes about 5 minutes) or turn Autopilot ON. If you have 25+ pending approvals, that's a sign you should probably be on Autopilot.
Autopilot is ON but messages aren't going out: Check these things in order:
Is your LinkedIn account still connected? (Settings > LinkedIn Connection)
Did you click Launch on the campaign? (Campaigns in Training Mode don't send)
Is it within your sending window? (Messages queue until the window opens)
Did you just reconnect your LinkedIn? (Reconnections don't restart sending until the next day)
I want to temporarily pause a campaign: Toggle Autopilot OFF in campaign settings. Queued messages stay in your queue. Toggle it back ON when you're ready.
Can I review just one campaign manually while others run on Autopilot? Yes. Autopilot is per-campaign. Turn it OFF for the specific campaign you want to review and leave it ON for everything else.
