Enabling Autopilot
Autopilot is the difference between Valley working for you and Valley sitting idle. With Autopilot ON, Valley automatically sends messages after generating them. With Autopilot OFF, every message queues up in Approvals waiting for you to manually review and approve each one.
95% of top-performing Valley users run with Autopilot ON.
The math is simple: if you leave Autopilot OFF and forget to check Approvals, messages pile up and never get sent. Your warm signals go cold. Your LinkedIn credits sit unused. Autopilot removes that bottleneck entirely.
How to Enable Autopilot
Autopilot is a per-campaign setting. You can enable it during campaign creation or toggle it on afterward.
During Campaign Creation
When setting up your new campaign, you'll see an Autopilot toggle
Turn it ON
Continue with the rest of campaign setup and launch
After Campaign Launch
Open the campaign you want to enable Autopilot for
Go to the campaign settings
Toggle Autopilot to ON
Save
That's it. Valley will now automatically send messages for this campaign after generating them.
Autopilot is per-campaign, not account-wide. You can have some campaigns on Autopilot and others on manual review. This is useful if you want to manually review a new campaign while letting established campaigns run hands-free.
What Autopilot Does
Automatically sends messages after Valley generates them
Runs daily, sending during your configured sending window
Handles connection requests, InMails, and follow-up sequences
Lets you focus on responding to interested replies instead of approving outbound messages
What Autopilot Does NOT Do
It doesn't bypass LinkedIn's limits - Valley still respects monthly caps (~500 connection requests/month, ~100 InMails/month on standard plans, 500-800 InMails/month with Sales Nav Advanced)
It doesn't hide messages from you - you can still see everything Valley sends
It doesn't mean zero involvement - you still need to check your inbox daily for interested replies and approve AI-drafted responses
LinkedIn Limits to Know
Valley respects LinkedIn's sending limits automatically. These are monthly limits per account:
Connection requests: ~500/month
InMails (standard): ~100/month (post-limit change)
InMails (Sales Nav Advanced): 500-800/month
Closed profile messages: ~50/month
Valley operates within these limits. You don't need to manage this manually - Valley handles the pacing.
These are monthly limits, not daily. Some outdated guides reference daily limits of "100 requests/day" or "300 messages/day" - that's wrong. LinkedIn enforces limits on a monthly basis.
Sending Windows
Valley sends messages during a configured time window - typically between 9 AM and 5 PM or 7 AM and 7 PM. Messages generated outside the sending window queue up and send when the window opens.
When to Keep Autopilot OFF
There are a few situations where manual review makes sense:
First 1-2 days of a new campaign: Review the messages Valley generates to make sure the tone and personalization match what you want. Once you're confident, flip Autopilot ON.
New writing style: If you just changed your writing style significantly, review a batch before going hands-free.
High-stakes prospect lists: If every message matters (e.g., C-suite at your top 20 target accounts), review manually for that specific campaign.
Most users start with Autopilot OFF for a day, review 10-15 messages, give feedback in Training Mode if needed, then turn Autopilot ON and never look back.
The Approvals Pile-Up Problem
This is the #1 issue we see with users who leave Autopilot OFF:
Valley generates messages daily. If you're not logging in to approve them, they pile up. We've seen users with 25, 50, 100+ pending approvals sitting in their queue - messages that never got sent, warm signals that went cold, LinkedIn credits that went unused.
If you see 25+ pending approvals in your dashboard, you have two options:
Approve them now (takes about 5 minutes)
Turn Autopilot ON and let Valley handle it going forward
If Autopilot is OFF and you're not checking Approvals daily, Valley is effectively not running. You're paying for a tool that's sitting idle. Either commit to daily manual review or turn Autopilot ON.
Troubleshooting
Autopilot is ON but messages aren't sending:
Is your LinkedIn account still connected? Check your connection status.
Did you click Launch on the campaign? Campaigns in Training Mode don't send regardless of Autopilot.
Is it within your sending window? Messages queue until the window opens.
Did you just reconnect your LinkedIn? Reconnections don't restart sending until the next day.
I see pending approvals even though Autopilot is ON:
This is normal. Valley generates messages in advance. Autopilot will handle them automatically before the next sending window. You don't need to manually approve them.
I want to pause sending temporarily:
Toggle Autopilot OFF in the campaign settings. Queued messages stay in your queue and don't disappear. Toggle Autopilot back ON when you're ready and they'll send in the next window.
