Campaign Prospect Status Definitions
When viewing prospects in a campaign, you can filter by status to track where each prospect is in your outreach workflow. Here's what each status means and when it's applied.
Automatic Statuses
These statuses are applied automatically by Valley as prospects move through your campaign.
Prospect Created
Prospects who have been added to your campaign but haven't received any messages yet. Valley is queued to generate personalized messages for them.
Approval Required
Messages have been generated and are waiting for your review in the Approvals tab. This only appears when Autopilot is turned off. Approve messages to move prospects to the next stage, or enable Autopilot to skip manual review.
Check your Approvals tab daily if Autopilot is off to avoid message backlogs.
Message Sent
The initial personalized message or connection request has been sent to the prospect.
Follow-Up Sent
At least one follow-up message has been sent after the prospect accepted your connection but didn't reply to your initial message. Valley continues sending follow-ups in the sequence until the prospect responds or all messages are sent.
Reengagement Sent
Valley has sent a reengagement message to revive the conversation after the prospect replied, you responded, and then they went silent. Reengagement messages read the full conversation history to craft contextual follow-ups (typically 2 messages, 3 days apart).
Learn more in Re-Engagement Sequences.
Responded
The prospect has replied to your outreach. Valley syncs replies every 2 hours and automatically categorizes them (Interested, Might Be Interested, Not Interested). Check your Inbox to review and respond.
Resend Cooldown
LinkedIn is temporarily blocking Valley from sending a message to this prospect. This happens when:
You recently withdrew a connection request to this person (LinkedIn enforces up to ~3 weeks cooldown)
You've hit LinkedIn's weekly connection or messaging limits
Valley automatically retries sending until LinkedIn allows it. Nothing is lost—the prospect stays queued.
Manual Statuses (Tags)
You apply these statuses manually from the Inbox or Approvals tab to control outreach. All manual tags stop automation immediately.
Stop Outreach
Permanently halts all automated messages to this prospect and adds them to your workspace Do Not Contact list. Use this for opt-outs, poor fits, or existing customers. Click the red trash can icon in the Inbox to apply.
Human Handover
Stops automation and flags the prospect for personal, manual follow-up. Use this for high-value prospects who need a personalized touch beyond AI-generated messages. Unlike Stop Outreach, this indicates active pursuit requiring human attention.
Meeting Scheduled
Marks that you've booked a meeting with this prospect. Stops automation and tracks conversion. Apply this after scheduling to keep your pipeline metrics accurate.
See all tags and how to use them in Tags & Prospect Controls.
Filtering by Status
To filter prospects by status, open any campaign, view the prospect table, and click the Status filter. Select one or more statuses to narrow your view. This helps you quickly find prospects who need approval, have responded, or are stuck in cooldown.
