Managing Approvals
Overview
The Approvals tab is where you review messages before they go out. There are two types of approvals in Valley: outbound message approvals (first-touch outreach waiting to send) and response approvals (AI-drafted replies to prospects who responded to you).
Outbound Message Approvals
When Autopilot is OFF for a campaign, Valley generates outbound messages but holds them for your review before sending.
How It Works
Valley generates personalized messages for prospects in your campaign
Messages queue in the Approvals tab
You review each message
Click Approve to send, or Edit to modify before sending
To decline, click the red Stop Outreach button (trash can icon) - this removes the prospect from outreach entirely
Bulk Approval
For outbound messages, you can approve multiple at once. When you approve a sequence, it approves the entire sequence - the initial message and all follow-ups will send on the cadence you configured.
When you approve a sequence, follow-ups are locked in. If the initial message is a connection request with a follow-up set 3 days later, that follow-up sends 3 days after the connection is accepted, not 3 days after the request is sent.
Keep Approvals Moving
If Autopilot is OFF and you're not checking Approvals regularly, messages pile up and never send. Your warm signals go cold. Either check Approvals daily or turn Autopilot ON.
Response Approvals
When a prospect replies to your outreach, Valley drafts a personalized follow-up response for you to review.
How It Works
Prospect replies to your message
Valley reads their reply, analyzes tone and context
Valley drafts a contextual response referencing your campaign goals
The draft appears in your Approvals queue
Review the draft - approve as-is or edit before sending
Response approvals are reviewed one at a time. There's no bulk approval for responses since each reply is unique and deserves individual attention.
Editing Before Approving
Not happy with Valley's draft? Click Edit, modify the message to match your voice or add specific context, then save and approve. Small edits often make the biggest difference - a personal reference or specific detail shows you're paying attention.
Quality Control
Before approving any message, ask yourself:
Does this sound like me, or does it sound robotic?
Is it relevant to what the prospect said (for responses)?
Does it move the conversation forward?
Is there a clear next step?
Daily Routine
Keep approvals from piling up:
Start your day by opening the Approvals tab (2-3 minutes)
Review response drafts first - these are time-sensitive since the prospect is waiting
Approve or edit outbound messages
Decline anything that doesn't fit using the Stop Outreach button
Aim to keep Approvals empty by end of day
Approve quickly. A fast good response beats a slow perfect one. Prospects notice speed - it signals you're engaged and serious.
