Connect Slack and manage Valley notifications
Connect your Slack workspace from Settings > Slack, then choose which Valley notifications go to Slack and whether each one is delivered to a channel, a teammate's direct messages, or both. Workspace admins and managers can change these settings; members can view them but not change them.
Connect your Slack workspace
The Slack settings page shows your current connection status, so check there first if you are unsure whether your workspace is already connected.
Go to Settings > Slack.
Connect your Slack workspace.
Authorize Valley in your Slack workspace.
You can also reach these settings from Settings > Notifications, which links to the dedicated Slack settings page.
Choose the channels for replies and leads
Pick the Slack channels Valley uses for replies and for leads. These are the default destinations when a notification is routed to a channel.
Route each notification
For each notification, decide whether it is sent to a channel, to a teammate's direct messages, or both, and turn individual notifications on or off.
Set reply mentions and teammate matching
Slack settings include controls for reply mentions and for matching Valley teammates to Slack users.
Set your reply mentions preference.
Match each Valley teammate to their Slack user.
Pause Slack notifications
Use the pause setting to stop Slack notifications when you do not want alerts delivered for a while.
Email notifications
Slack settings control Slack delivery only. For email notification preferences, see Manage notifications in Valley.
