Invite sales-led users and handle existing signups
Admins can now invite sales-led users with more flexibility, including linking Stripe customer details during the invite flow. The signup experience also checks for an existing sales-led invite first, which prevents duplicate-account errors.
Send a sales-led invite
Go to the team or admin users area.
Choose Invite sales-led user.
Enter the user's name and email.
Optionally add Stripe customer details (customer ID) to link billing.
Send the invite.
Adding Stripe customer details during the invite ensures the new user is billed under the correct account from day one.
What the invited user sees
The invited person receives an email with setup instructions. When they click through to sign up, Valley checks whether a sales-led invite already exists for that email. If so, the user is guided into the sales-led onboarding path instead of the standard self-serve signup.
If the email already exists
If someone tries to sign up with an email that already has a pending or accepted invite, Valley routes them to the appropriate workspace and avoids creating a duplicate account. The admin sees the user linked correctly in the member list.
Manage invited users
Open the team member list.
Review invite status: pending, accepted, or expired.
Resend or revoke an invite before it is accepted if needed.
Differences from self-serve invites
Aspect | Sales-led invite | Self-serve invite |
|---|---|---|
Stripe link | Optional during invite | User adds payment later |
Signup path | Guided to correct workspace | Standard signup flow |
Duplicate guard | Checked at signup | Basic email check |
Use sales-led invites when onboarding enterprise or agency clients where billing and workspace routing must be precise.
