Sales Team Playbook
Set up Valley for your entire sales team in 30 minutes.
Overview
Each team member has their own LinkedIn account = their own seat. Your workspace contains all seats, campaigns, and a shared inbox via Admin View.
Step 1: Create Account & Workspace (3 min)
Go to app.joinvalley.co and sign up
Create a workspace - name it for your team: "Enterprise Sales," "SDR Team," "Growth," etc.
Step 2: Invite Team Members (2 min)
Go to Settings > Manage Seats
Click "Invite"
Enter each team member's email
They receive an email invite, click the link, and create their account
Two roles: Admin (full access + team management) or Member (own campaigns + inbox)
Step 3: Each Team Member Connects LinkedIn (3 min per rep)
If reps connect themselves:
They create a dedicated Chrome profile for Valley
They log into their LinkedIn in that Chrome profile
They download the Valley Chrome extension
They click Connect LinkedIn
Their seat becomes active
If admin sets up for reps:
Create a separate Chrome profile for each rep
Log into each rep's LinkedIn in their Chrome profile
Install the Valley extension and connect from that profile
Each rep needs their own dedicated Chrome profile. Don't share Chrome profiles between reps or with other LinkedIn tools.
Step 4: Set Up Shared Studio Config (5 min)
Create Product, Writing Style, and ICP Once
Go to Studio and create:
Product - Your company description, value props, pain points, proof points, and booking link. Define ICP inside the Product using the Always Score High / Always Score Low framework.
Writing Style - DOs/DON'Ts for your team's voice. Fill in the LinkedIn Sequence section and complete the Advanced Questions.
Share Across Workspace
Toggle sharing on your Product and Writing Style so all team members can use them.
When you share a Product, the booking link is YOUR booking link. Each rep must duplicate the shared Product, replace the booking link with their own, and rename it "PRODUCT NAME - (Rep Name)."
Optional: Rep-Specific Writing Styles
If reps have different communication styles (aggressive vs. consultative), create multiple Writing Styles. Reps select their preferred style when creating campaigns.
Step 5: Create Campaigns Per Rep (Using Admin View)
Toggle Admin View on in the left panel
Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard
Click the arrow (>) next to the rep's account
You're now viewing that rep's workspace
Create Campaign
In the create campaign window, select both Connect and InMail
Select the rep's personal Product (with their booking link)
Go through Training Mode > Launch
Repeat for each rep
Always enter the correct rep's account through Admin View BEFORE creating campaigns. If you create a campaign while viewing the wrong account, the wrong name and LinkedIn profile will be used.
Campaign Structure Per Rep
For each rep, create:
1 High-ICP-fit campaign for each (Profile Viewers, Profile Followers or Post Engagers)
1 imported list campaign using one list with both Connect and InMail selected
Then enable Autopilot on each campaign individually.
Step 6: Set Up Inbox Management (5 min)
Unified Inbox (Admin View)
In Admin View, the inbox shows replies across all connected accounts. Filter by:
Account (show one rep's replies)
Campaign
Category (Interested, Might Be Interested, Not Interested)
SDR to AE Handoffs
When an SDR qualifies a prospect:
SDR reviews the reply in their inbox
SDR applies the Human Handover tag (stops all automation)
SDR notifies the AE through your team's process (Slack, email, etc.)
AE takes over the conversation manually on LinkedIn
This is a manual coordination process. Valley's role is stopping automation via the tag.
Webhook Notifications
Set up webhooks to push interested replies to Slack:
Settings > Integrations > Webhooks
Create a webhook triggered on interested replies
Point it at your Slack incoming webhook URL
Your team gets instant Slack alerts for hot leads
Create a dedicated #valley-leads Slack channel. Only add your sales team. This keeps hot leads visible without noise.
Step 7: Enable Autopilot
For each rep's campaigns, toggle Autopilot ON. This is a per-campaign setting, not a global toggle.
With Autopilot on, Valley sends approved messages automatically. Reps focus on responding to replies and handling meetings, not clicking approve on individual messages.
Performance Tracking
Monitor in Dashboard > Campaigns:
Messages sent per rep
Reply rate per campaign
Accept rate per campaign
Interested replies
Apply the Meeting Scheduled tag manually when meetings book. Do a weekly team review: which reps have the highest reply rates? What are top performers doing differently?
Scaling
Start with 2-3 reps and one workspace
Prove ROI: track replies, meetings, and revenue from Valley campaigns
Once validated, scale to 5-10 reps
Each rep benefits from Sales Nav included in multi-seat plans (~500 connects/month + InMails)
