Does deleting a prospect stop outreach immediately?
Yes. Deleting a prospect from a campaign removes them from the outreach queue instantly and prevents any further messages.
This applies whether you delete before launch (during ICP review) or after the campaign has started sending. Once deleted, the prospect will not receive connection requests, InMails, or follow-ups.
How deletion affects metrics
Campaign metrics reflect deletion differently:
Prospects added β Shows the original import or enrichment count. This number does not update when you delete prospects.
Outreach sent β Reflects actual messages sent. If you delete prospects before outreach begins, this number will be lower than "Prospects added."
This is normal behavior. The gap between "added" and "sent" shows how many prospects you filtered out (via deletion or Do Not Contact) before using sending volume on them.
Deleting low ICP fits immediately after launch is a best practice. It focuses your daily sending limits on high-fit prospects most likely to respond. See Managing Prospects for bulk deletion steps.
