Hubspot Setup
Valley’s HubSpot integration is a native sync that keeps outreach activity and CRM status aligned.
Valley → HubSpot: Valley syncs prospects into HubSpot contacts and can log selected outreach activity as notes.
HubSpot → Valley: Valley can read selected HubSpot deal stages and automatically apply Do Not Contact (DNC) in Valley.
Important scope notes:
HubSpot → Valley currently supports selected deal-stage Auto-DNC on a scheduled sync, not full CRM field backfill or import.
Valley does not currently create or attach HubSpot Company records through the HubSpot associations API.
To connect
Go to Settings > Integrations
Click HubSpot
Authorize Valley to connect to your HubSpot account
Configure your sync settings
HubSpot settings
When to create contacts
You choose when Valley creates contacts in HubSpot:
When a lead is added to Valley (when a prospect is added to a campaign)
When a message is sent (when Valley sends the first outreach message)
When a connection is accepted (when the prospect accepts your connection request; for InMails, contacts are created upon response)
When a reply is received (when the prospect sends their first reply)
Interest status updates
Choose which interest statuses to sync to HubSpot (this updates the HubSpot contact property interest_level, shown in-app as “Interest Status”):
Interested
Might be interested
Not interested
These statuses are set manually via the Valley inbox.
Status updates to sync
Choose which Valley events create notes on the HubSpot contact.
Automatic events:
Connection accepted (Accepted connection request)
Message sent (Follow up sent)
InMail declined
Manual “marked in Valley” events (via tags):
Lead tagged: Booking link sent
Lead tagged: Meeting scheduled
Note: “Reply received” is currently used for contact creation timing (if enabled), but isn’t currently exported as a separate HubSpot note event.
Contact details to sync
Valley can create fields prefixed with valley_ in your CRM and also fill standard HubSpot contact fields if they’re empty.
Valley fields (always updated):
valley_statusvalley_email(if enriched)valley_phone_number(if enriched)valley_linkedin_url
Standard HubSpot contact fields (filled only if empty):
Name (first name + last name)
Title (if enriched)
Email (if enriched)
Phone (if enriched)
LinkedIn URL (HubSpot property:
hs_linkedin_url)Company (contact property:
company)Website (contact property:
website)Fallback: company website (from enrichment) → company LinkedIn URL
Not currently synced:
ICP Fit Score
AI Research export
Optionally auto-export Valley’s completed AI research as notes in HubSpot for each prospect. This currently runs on Prospect Created.
HubSpot → Valley (Auto-DNC)
Choose which HubSpot deal stages should auto-mark prospects as DNC in Valley:
You select the HubSpot stages in integration settings.
If a linked deal reaches one of those stages, Valley marks that prospect as DNC on the next sync cycle.
This sync runs on a recurring schedule (not real-time).
Company fields vs Company association (current behavior)
When a prospect is synced to HubSpot, Valley can fill the contact’s company and website properties if they’re empty. This often helps HubSpot match the contact to an existing company, but Valley does not currently create or attach a HubSpot Company record through the HubSpot associations API.
